Mission Statement

Our Mission
At The Learning Factory, we redefine childcare. Beyond a mere center, we cultivate an environment where children and families eagerly engage in learning, play, and growth. Our programs empower children to explore, imagine, and cultivate a lifelong passion for learning. We are committed to revolutionizing child development by providing a foundation for transformation in how we nurture, educate, and witness the growth of our children.
Our program is built around the concept that children are born ready to learn. As caregivers, we strive to create a learning environment that is safe, stimulating and encouraging.
Our Philosophy
The Learning Factory is more than just your average childcare center. We have Programs where children and families love to come learn, play, grow. They love us so much they are upset to go home because of the fun we had learning!
We provide opportunities for children to explore, imagine, and foster a lifelong love of learning. In addition, we build strong ties with parents and communities to share our passion for education and meet children’s ever-changing needs.
We have high standards for quality education for the communities we serve. We intentionally staff our schools with teachers who are talented, fun, and genuinely enthusiastic about child development and learning. We provide a safe, healthy, caring, and stimulating environment for children ages 6 weeks through 13 years old.
The Program is oriented to the individual child and attends to the cultural diversity and differing needs, interests and developmental levels of the children served. Our high-scope curriculum involves Abeka, Aleks, Reggio Emilio, Prodigy, & S.T.E.A.M. Our childcare center is a learning factory; hence the name; where children use their curious minds, become creative, explore, and learning about everything the world offers.
We are culturally diverse and have culturally diverse S.T.E.A.M Characters that children can relate to, have fun, and learn with alongside qualified staff. Children develop cognitive skills through math, science, social studies, and reading, create social skills through dramatic play and group interactions, and they grow as individuals through physical activities and technology exploration. We encourage collaboration, cherish open communication, and create an outstanding work-life balance by supporting leaders, teachers, and families every step of the way.
Principles
The following principles are excerpted from the Stamford (Abeka) Teaching Strategies Gold and serve as the foundation for our curriculum:
- Children develop knowledge of their world through active interactions with caregivers, peers, materials, and events.
- High integration and engagement with S.T.E.A.M activities and curriculum.
- Learning is sequential, building on prior understandings and experiences.
- Learning proceeds at different rates in each area and each child; children will show a range of skills and understandings in any one area of development. (Developmental milestones)
- Learning in each area is interconnected. Young children learn best through experiences, which incorporate several areas of development; our organizations are very big on creativeness.
- Learning is embedded in a culture. Children learn best when their learning activities are rooted in a familiar cultural context; we are not biased, we like to apply knowledge that can be learned and use worldwide.
- Learning begins in the family, continues in early care and education settings, and depends on parent involvement and caregiver guidance. 12 hours of annual community service is mandated for families.
